Mixing real footage with 3D Models in BLENDER! What is Motion Tracking?

You've probably watched a lot of movies that uses VFX and CGI for special effects, that's what we're going to talk about today and how it is possible!

having 3D models mixed in a real video footage is great, it opens a lot of doors and gives a lot of possiblities, not only we don't stuck limited to what we physically have, but it's also fun to play with and could help a lot in learning 3D in general, the main ingredient for this is Motion tracking or in other words, Match Moving, it's basically the process of having some specific points in a real footage that have high contrast or different colors that the rest ( not necesarilly having expensive gear, we'll get into that soon), and basically letting the program track it through the video, and what will that be useful for? it will track the real camera movements and apply it to the camera that we have in the program, and make it move and shake the same way it did as in the real one, and then we could put things there as if they were real, with some compositing and color correction, it could look real, this was a brief introduction, we'll talk about this more soon in next articles, we'll see what are some cool camera tracking programs, some are free and some are not, and we'll see the process to track and mix stuff.
