How to take long-exposure shots with your phone

Pretty sure you've already seen one of those light trails shots, where there's no cars but trails of colored lights, in this tutorial, i'll show you how you can take one with your phone, the process is so easy.

To start, make sure that your phone has a Professional/Manual mode in its camera, we'll need that to control the shutter speed, that's the main ingredient of long exposure shots, in case your phone has the manual mode, let's shoot some lights!, Basically, the idea is to set the shutter speed at the longest possible, in the picture above, it was set at 14 seconds and i was able to trace that flash light in a circular shape, you don't want to shoot this at daylight, leaving the shutter open for a longer time make the sensor absorbs more light and the shot will be over exposed, if used at night what there's no light to get, it will only get the sharp things like lights, you can do whatever movement with your flash light during the shot, or your city's lights, or cars lights, it's also called light painting where you can trace anything you want during the opening of the shutter!
