Start taking better Pictures with your phone instantly!
I'm thinking that you always thought that taking amazing pictures is necessarily related to having some expensive gear with pack of lenses, well that helps a lot but it's not the main thing anyway.
1. Taking the picture
In today's Article we will be discovering some real easy ways to take good pictures, Mainly portraits, making them look professional as if they were taken with some expensive lenses, all of that using your phone, that is in your pocket. your phone should at least have a decent camera, it will work on almost every camera, the only problem is the quality.
The trick we're gonna is is Zoom, this is present in every camera app on our phones, if it does not, just download a camera app that has this function of zooming in, Well you may be thinking that it's Digital zoom and will ruin the image, you are right, but if used well, you are going to get amazing results right after you finish reading this, First Step is, Get a few feets back from your object or person, you don't wanna be so close so you grab a bigger portion of it and fit in the picture, zoom in a little bit, just a little. too much will make the quality terrible, by zoom, we're going to simulate the focal length control in Digital cameras, we do not have that in phones, but we can use this trick to achieve it, even though it's limited, but still works well.
2. Editing
After you have finished taking the picture, we'll move to editing, All the editing will be done in your phone, no computer needed. the first app that we're going to use is AfterFocus, this will help us achieve the depth of filed effect, the blurry background and the bokeh effect, it's an amazing app and really easy to use.
After making the background blurry, you have to get Snapseed, it's free and from google, it's a photo editing app which does a great job in editing your photos and bringing them to life, it's easy to use and straightforward.
3. Tips
- don't go with too much blur, add blur depending on the picture and how close your object is to your background, so it doesn't look so fake.
- Do not over-saturate the picture especially with face shots, Use saturation more in landscapes and similar shots.
